Phoebe started 4th Grade last Thursday, and she couldn't have been happier. At the Back to School picnic on Tuesday, she didn't want to leave. Not didn't want to leave her friends--didn't want to leave school. She was even excited for Math today, which is amazing. Here she is in her First Day outfit

Last night we FINALLY finished
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which means the movie on Saturday. I honestly didn't think that it would take the entire summer plus some, but it did! Phoebe had a hard time coming up with one favorite part of a 700+-page book, but she liked Dobby's antics, Malfoy being turned into a ferret, and the blast-ended skrewts. An international cast of characters gave my voices and accents something of a workout, but that is part of the fun!
Phoebe wanted to read
The Mysterious Benedict Society next, but that is another big book--with tiny print to boot--so I suggested something we can read a little more quickly. We'll see what she comes up with.
On her own she finished
The Summer of Moonlight Secrets and went on the read
Pandora Gets Jealous and
Eleven. She just finished another book, but I don't know what it is. She managed to fill a second Barnes and Noble form to score another free book!
We should be getting back to our lunch menus soon, so tasty pics sure to appear soon!
