OK--I am a bit behind. We finished The Deadly Dungeon a couple of weeks ago. Part of the mystery involved parrot poaching, and Phoebe liked the part where the kids rescued the parrots from drowning.
Then we read Next Spring an Oriole, which is actually the first book in a series, but Phoebe's reading them out of order--we read the second book Night of the Full Moon quite some time ago.In this one, Libby and her family move to Michigan and build a cabin. Phoebe liked when Libby and Taw cum e go qua--soon to be known as "Fawn"--met for the first time. And that after their first winter, there will be orioles inhabiting a nest near Libby's house. There is a third book that we'll probably read soon--see how the story ends.
Now we are back to Geronimo Stilton and Attack of the Bandit Cats, which involves a bunch of cat pirates. Right now Geronimo and crew are in pirate prison, but I imagine they have a plan!
Sadly, even Geronimo is looking a bit basic for Phoebe now! But we are still early in the series, maybe the later ones have more oomph.
Happy Summer everyone!
