2017 Movies, Part 2

So, we are slowly but surely getting back into the swing of things. And now that we are further from more people, getting back into the blog routine is more important! So, I thought I would start with something easy. Earlier, I posted a partial list of the films we had watched in 2017. Before I recycle last year's calendar, I wanted to finish that off! The first list went through mid-May 2017, so here is the rest of the year.

Sing (animated, 2016)
Florence Foster Jenkins (Meryl Streep)
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Wonder Woman (2017)

Star Wars: A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Bend it Like Beckham (Kiera Knightley)
The Perfect Storm (George Clooney)
Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017)
The Goonies (1985)

An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power (Al Gore, 2017)
Michael (John Travolta)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Parts 1 and 2
The Towering Inferno (Steve McQueen, 1974)
My Darling Clementine (Henry Fonda, 1946)
The Poseidon Adventure (Gene Hackman, 1972)

Several of these were for school or were the movie adaptation of a book or play that Phoebe read.

We had our usual Star Wars marathon over Thanksgiving and Harry Potter marathon during Christmas, though they were a bit abbreviated.

We choose the film we see in the theater carefully, and this year's choices did not disappoint. Wonder Woman was absolutely amazing. Both Phoebe and I were ready to sit through it again as soon as the credits started to roll. Orient Express was also really good, and The Last Jedi, as expected, was fantastic.

There are probably some missing, as I wasn't keeping track when we were in the hotel (though I don't think we watched any movies) or for much of October.

Phoebe is starting World History through Film next week, so there will be several movies to watch in the coming weeks!
