'Tis the Season

To be crazy busy! Holidays, the end of the semester--who decided we should have all of this simultaneously?

 Phoebe finished Who Was George Washington? and learned some interesting facts about his life and times. Now she is reading Bunnies in the Bathroom--another Animal Ark book. As with the kittens she read about previously, I am not yet sure why the bunnies are in the bathroom, but I'm sure they have a good reason!

Together we are still reading The Familiars. We are about halfway through and Aldwyn has yet to discover that he truly is a magical cat. The poor thing is so stressed about that, I hope he realizes it soon!

Since last week was a short week at school, Phoebe didn't plan a menu, but the week before, she decided to take the Thanksgiving menu provided in our book. So we got a Tofurky and I made Pumpkin-Anadama rolls, which looked good! She took the usual fruit and veggies along as well.

This week we looked for something easy and found one using "chicken" nuggets, which she loves, so all that needed was a run to the freezer. A little ketchup on the side, some chips or crackers, fruit and veggies, and we have a meal!
