We are on track to finish Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in time to watch the movie Saturday. Phoebe is excited! This book is not turning out nearly as one would expect, so we've been talking about red herrings and the way stories keep the reader guessing.
Phoebe finished From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and is now reading Time Cat, by Lloyd Alexander. Phoebe also informed me that Alexander's birthday was this month. Not sure why that is important, however! I think we now have enough books to fill out her winter reading form from the bank and get her an extra deposit!
Lunch this week has a definite Southern feel: corn muffins and black-eyed peas & carrots. We opted out of the collard greens since we only get those during the summer from our CSA.
