We finished The Curse of the Cheese Pyramid last night--Phoebe enjoys Geronimo's employment of cheese curses--"Holey Cheese!", "Moldy Mozzarella!", and "Slimy Swiss Balls!" are some of her favorites. He is a mouse, after all, so I guess that makes sense. But her favorite part was when he was trying to get off the rickety plane he was supposed to fly to Egypt.
She also thought it was hysterical that the scientist in the book discovered a new energy source using the sun and camel dung (I had to tell her "dung"was poop before the funny kicked in).
When they were exploring the pyramid and talking about all the Egyptian gods, she recognized a lot of the names from watching Tutenstein on TV. It's cool to watch the way her brain makes connections. And since I was into ancient Egypt when I was younger, that makes it more fun!
Not sure what book is next. I think she wants to read the next Magic Tree House book, which I believe is Good Morning, Gorillas. Whatever it is, we'll write about it here!
It is raining today, but they are making a movie theatre in camp, so that works well--and everyone was exhausted from the camping day--Phoebe's tent was a big hit. Phoebe has been excited about having the movie theatre today, so I'm sure she will be full of stories later.
